Clint Furlonge - Walker - Principle Instructor
Clint started Karate at age 17 and has been a full time professional Instructor for over 25 years. Clint has extensive experience teaching young children and adults, including those with physical and learning difficulties.
Clint began his Karate journey in Trinidad where he trained under Sensei Neville Mason 6th Dan. (Shotokan Karate International of Trinidad And Tobago-SKITT). In the UK he trained with Dorian Fretwell 7th Dan of Shotokan Karate International European Federation-SKIEF) and Shiro Asano Hanshi 9th Dan for 10 years. Clint also trained under Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th Dan for 12 years.
As Head Instructor of Mizu Karate Academy Clint is also currently In House Karate Instructor at The Harrodian School Barnes, Fulham Prep School Fulham and The Royal School Surrey. He teaches Self Defence to small groups and offers private lessons to individuals and children.
Dorian Fretwell - Visiting/Grading Instructor
Dorian began training with his teacher Shiro Asano Hanshi, 9th Dan Chief Instructor Shotokan Karate International European Federation (SKIEF) in 1974. He continues to train with Hanshi whenever possible. He is currently ranked 7th Dan. Dorian is internationally acknowledged as a teacher of traditional Shotokan Karate. His personal belief is that through rigorous training, individuals will improve and develop their karate technique together with a sense of purpose and so become better equipped to identify and fulfil their potential in all matters both in the dojo and in everyday life
